Today’s IT environments are more complicated than it was ever before. With the ever-growing use of public cloud and container technologies and the frequent delivery of modern, microservices-based applications, most large organizations have crossover IT infrastructures management. Besides, organizations are progressively utilizing more than cloud services to leverage the best-of-breed and diverse cloud technologies. These attributes are offering businesses the required adaptability and potential for setting up the ideal IT architecture that caters to an organization’s diverse needs.
However—as many organizations would testify—building a cutting-edge IT infrastructure is only one part of the equation. One shouldn’t forget that the modern IT architecture, in most instances, is a patchwork of a multitude of different software systems like ERP, CRM, ITSM, and other critical operational components as well as various end-user devices. It is, thus, imperative for businesses to have a clear understanding of all these different components for ensuring a smooth operational flow. Besides, in between these layers remain a lot of other technical variables that businesses need to consider if they are to unlock the full benefit of digitalization.
Enter Zoracom.
A fast-emerging Nigerian startup, Zoracom has developed a comprehensive suite of business visibility solutions to unify businesses’ technology products and solutions. “We provide a consolidated and automated view of a business’s entire IT infrastructure, including their IT networks, services, and cybersecurity management. To this end, we have leveraged the famous StableNet IT management solution to develop our flagship offerings—Miro, Zmart, and SOCaaS (security operations center as a service),” says John Nwachukwu, CIEO of Zoracom.
Under the Hoods of Zoracom
Notably, Zoracom’s Miro covers every critical aspect of a business, from IT network monitoring, support ticketing, and services through to cybersecurity management. “The name Miro is derived from the word mirror. A typical mirror helps us recognize the flaws in our appearance and fix them. Similarly, we use Miro to see and deep dive into a network and resolve its issues,” says Anumaka Lucky Ozioma, customer success/engagement manager at Zoracom. The vendor-agnostic nature of the Miro platform further enables its clients to monitor their IT networks across multiple cloud systems. Miro can also aggregate all the vendors on a single platform for clients who operate with multiple solution providers and a variety of OEMs.For this, Miro uses flexible and individual KPIs for real-time IT performance monitoring and creates an interactive graphic visualization of clients’ entire network and service performance. With this, Miro offers complete transparency and helps clients visualize their complicated networks in a more simplified manner.“Besides these, Miro offers automated root cause and impact analysis to enable the network team to observe and isolate faults within the network enabling fast troubleshooting and error

handling, which reduces mission-critical downtime of network services.
Taking the capabilities of Miro a notch higher is Zoracom’s Zmart solution. Zoracom has developed Zmart precisely to monitor IT infrastructure for smart enterprises and cities and push the envelope of industry 4.0. But that’s not all! With a strong foothold in the network and services management space, Zoracom is also transforming the cybersecurity front for its clients. The company does this through its security operations center as a service (SOCaaS) or cybersecurity operational resilience as a service to help banks, fintech companies, payment service providers, and large oil and gas corporations monitor their critical digital infrastructure and manage in-house cybersecurity. SOCaaS’ enhanced cybersecurity mitigation also aids the said organizations to comply with the guidelines of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the governing entity of banking operations across Nigeria.
Most importantly, Zoracom’s prowess can be best explained by a customer success story. Zoracom’s partner, Truck Transit Parks Ltd (TTP), in charge of removing traffic gridlock and container holdup on Apapa seaport (Lagos, Nigeria), needed an automatic system to handle the challenges in port and container management. With the help of the Amazon web service manager, Zoracom developed an automatic follow-up system. As TTP’s strategic partner, Zoracom also hosted, managed, and provided support for the automatic system, which helped TTP skillfully maneuver the traffic challenges.
Moving ahead with many similar success stories, Zoracom’s ambition in the next few years is to become one of the biggest network and services management companies in Africa and beyond. To do so, Zoracom has partnered with MTN, the largest telecom provider in Africa, and will help them move toward 5G and gain visibility in their network by implementing StableNet with its partner Infosim. “As a Nigerian company, we understand the unique business environment in Africa. So, we want to assure our clients that we understand that uniqueness completely, and we want to utilize our knowledge to take African countries on the most exciting IT digitalization journey,” concludes Nwachukwu.
